An auditor by trade, Toka Lintsa left her day job to follow her dream of dance. “When I took up aerobics as a Just Dance instructor for Virgin Active, I didn’t think that it would be the part-time occupation that led to my resignation from the corporate industry as a Tax Auditor,” she explains. A lover of movement since the age of 10, she has dedicated her life to the art of dance and sharing that love with others.
Now a dance instructor with an international flair, Toka is travelling the world, sharing her experiences and love of fitness and dance. “Travelling to places such as Argentina, the USA, Lesotho, Spain, France and England have diversified my ability to share in my love for performance. This has allowed me to adopt my travel experience into my fitness choreography,” she says. Toka says that she carries the mantra “celebrating individuality as a unit” and has collaborated with organisations who share her vision. She owns a private company which aims to uplift and encourage wellness through dance and step aerobics workouts.
Level Up Your Workout
“Dancing is a highly effective form of exercise and those endorphins will flow smiles to our faces with no care to where you are in the world,” she says. Follow along with her in this dance aerobic workout. It features loads of squats that will work those quadriceps, helping build firm thighs and a perky butt. Toka suggests doing the routine nine times then pausing during your 10th one to appreciate music and rhythm. It also features twist jumps that make for great cardio and strengthen your legs and core.
